Is the gun permit unit going to revoke his LTCF for failing to wait until police arrive and handle the situation professionally?

They will probably revoke his LTCF since he was open carrying.

There has been a few good guys with a gun stopping crap in Philly lately. If you believe the news reports, the Captain(s) interviewed seemed thankful for the help, while saying they should wait for police, and alluded to no charges being filed.

Other that the perp trying to get his gun, is there any other ACTUAL news reason to mention he was OC?

GPU has proven that charges don't need to be filed to revoke. They revoke if you're a victim of a crime. It wouldn't surprise me if they revoked in this case too. If Philly wants people to stop making jokes about them, they should stop doing stupid shit.

.....not that I can see.Hypothetically speaking, the guy didn't even have to be open carrying in order for the criminal to try and take his gun.It could have gotten revealed during their struggle.

New York City's notorious for this, too. If you're a victim of a crime involving your guns at all, your license(s) will be suspended (Two separate licenses, one for handguns, one for rifles) and the guns confiscated (Even if one or more weren't involved/touched/taken) until they decide to let you have them back.
