    • PA gives 2A back and the Feds want to deny.

    • So Barry Hussein Obumers wants SCOTUS to rule (against Binderup and the people) in Binderup v. USA

Federal law states, at 18 USC 922(g)(1), that anyone convicted of most crimes with punishment of more than one year imprisonment (or, if a misdemeanor, more than two years) can't legally own a gun.

Exactly why 18 USC 922(g)(1) should be amended to "punished" rather than "punishable" by... Better yet remove all uncertainty and make it "convicted and sentenced to a term of" more than one year.

Mind you, the whole thing is unconstitutional, IMHO. But that would at least be an improvement.

BTW why is Obummer wanting this matter to be heard now....he needs to make sure his movers insurance is paid and that the wall around his new dwelling is on target to be built in time.

I thought Obama felt sympathy for ex-criminals? I guess these type of "ex-cons" don't vote the way he'd like...

Couldn't this backfire on fbho ? If it does get heard by the USSC it will have one of Trumpy's appointees on it by then. So the USSC could rule in our favor and make this apply nationwide.

Regardless of the facts of a case, a POTUS term is 4 years. It's not 4 years minus 11 days, or 4 years minus two months or anything else. POTUS should be carrying out the job of POTUS throughout the term of POTUS.

ya Ok, and when it comes time for you and I to retire from our jobs we'll show up that last couple weeks like we just started the job...This is a perfect example of reality and what the books teach...It's not derogatory towards you, I just can't think of another way of putting it..

Haven't you been watching his press conferences? If we'd all just let him reign king we would all be better off... he's putting his peeps on overtime to put as many obstacles as possible.... he just recently released terrorist from gitmo... Why? And I'll wager there will be more as time gets shorter...

The administration claims that special arrangements are made with the nations into which the detainees are released so as to make the transfers safe.
In an op-ed published in The Wall Street Journal Monday, Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, not only castigated the president for his numerous prisoner transfers, but claims that the alleged safety arrangements are a farce:
"We began our investigation two years ago, after the White House released six hardened terrorists to Uruguay. The administration had repeatedly promised Congress that it transfers detainees to foreign countries only after securing specific assurances about how those countries will reduce threats. Meanwhile, the administration wrote Uruguay’s president that none of the detainees had ever been involved in facilitating or conducting terrorism. Both Congress and the Uruguayan government were misled."
