Default Tractor Supply in Temple has FAT 50's for $12.99 on clearance - call before going

You can use a hair dryer to remove the labels. Heat them up and they peel right off.

    Huh?

Odd. I looked inside about 6 or more cans where I got mine to be sure the seals were OK and that the "indentation" from the can body was centered in the gasket and all the seals looked good.

I got two at $15 before Christmas after Bamboomaster posted that he got them for $12.
I asked about the price difference and was told that the individual stores can set their own pricing on clearance items so not all locations have them for the same clearance price.

I compared them to US issue and they are VERY close copies - nearly identical in almost every aspect. I was very surprised.

Maybe I should call to see if ours have come down more in price.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I looked also at the cans in Mt Pocono after the third one without the rubber seal I passed on it.You got a good deal.

Either someone needed new seals for their old cans, or, more likely, the gasket installation step was skipped in the manufacturing process and QC never happened.

I just rechecked all of mine and all seals are intact.

Seems like a lot for a "military style" can, and not the genuine article.
