Re: 2017 NFA Time Line
I'm pretty sure the Trust form 4s are taking so long because they are still trying to get over the 41F hump.
Individual form 4s have no said 41F hump, which is why they take a lot less time right now.
After the 41F hump is over, they will most likely go back to being about the same time frame.... Just like before.

Re: 2017 NFA Time Line
I called ATF this AM after checking Tracker and seeing several Form 4 Individual approvals at about the 150 day mark - I am sitting at the 167 day mark - and was told it was still "pending".
On my way home this afternoon, I got a call from a very nice woman from ATF to confirm my place/State of birth - we somehow missed putting it on my fingerprint cards. Instead of sending the form back, she called me. I talked to her for a few minutes - very friendly and professional - and she confirmed she was working my Form now and, assuming there were no issues with my background check, it would be approved soon!!*

Re: 2017 NFA Time Line
You know, not all of the people who work at the BATFE are bad, mean people, some will actually work with you to get things done easier/faster. I interact with them a lot being a FFL/SOT and while there are some who are PITAs, the vast majority at the NFA Branch in WV, where they process the forms are pretty good people. I've had customers who had minor problems on their forms and the processor has called me for the correct info and THEY put the change in right then where they could have sent the form back to me to fix and send back to them (wasting a couple weeks).

Re: 2017 NFA Time Line
Picked up my Silencerco Sparrow today. Check cashed May 8th. 166 days or roughly 5 1/2 months. I was expecting it after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. Damn....now I need a host or two. I am a moron.

Re: 2017 NFA Time Line
Feeling like doing it as a trust may have been a bit of a mistake. Haven't heard much movement on trusts lately, either here or other sources. Oh well.

I've been checking other Forums.
In some areas The Wait is down to 26 Weeks.
And shrinking.
