i went down to the Court house today after work.to pick up my ltcf with it i received a card that was titled . things to consider while carrying a firearm. # 2 on the list states that your firearm MUST be concealed at all time . sense unnecessary display may cause adverse reactions from others . and or embarrassing situations that can lead to the revocation of your ltcf. what are your thoughts and opinions on this thank you .

Well that's just plain wrong, and maybe someone should have a talk with the cumberland county sheriff...

he can revoke your permit for nearly any reason, but you DO have the right to appeal that decision.

Does this imply that you're AGREEING to that shit when you get the LTCF? I'd be writing them a respectful letter letting them know in a RESPECTFUL manner that should that be the case and should they pull your LTCF if you OC that's just fine. The law doesn't require a LTCF for OC.

This is true. I wouldn't show them that part of your hand of course. What they don't want you to do as far as OC is be doing it on foot as I am understanding it.

No, for two good reasons:

First, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled in two cases that open carry with (Philadelphia) or without (anywhere else) license is legal.

Second, for the Sheriff to impose such a restriction would run afoul of Section 6120(a).

Basically your sheriff is making his own rules based on his views. He feels that since that statement is clearly in your view, you'll proceed to honor his conditions. Mine had the same type of information. That was of course before I came here lol.
