Hamburg 3gun 2017 Match Schedule

Hello shooters! The 2017 shooting season will be here before you know it. We want to let everyone know that we have moved our matches to the first Saturday of the month so there should be fewer conflicts with other clubs. The dates of the five matches are:

April 1
May 6
June 3
(no match in July)
August 5
Sept. 2

Shooters will utilize three different types of guns: semi-auto rifle (.223), semi-auto pistol, and a pump or semi-auto shotgun. Shooting positions vary from standing, sitting, kneeling, prone, and even moving/walking while engaging targets. Targets can be stationary or moving and either cardboard, steel plates or clay pigeons. Most of the stages are short, bay-style. The long range bay will have targets out to about 300 yards. We will be using the wooded trails for various stages throughout the season and we have a few surprises in store as well.

When we are about a month away from the first match, we'll ask folks to please pre-register by email at hamburg3gun@gmail.com.

Payments and squadding will be done on the day of the match.
Walk-ons are always welcome, but preference will be given to those who pre-register.

$20 per shooter

Guns needed:
Center fire semi auto pistol or revolver, no magnum cartridges
Center fire semi auto, magazine fed rifle, no larger than .223
Pump or semi auto shotgun

General Ammo Count:
100 rounds Pistol
100 rounds Rifle
100 rounds Shotgun, no larger than 7 shot
5+ Slugs

No steel core ammo permitted.
No Slide fire or any other type of bump fire stocks allowed.

Go west on I78 6 miles from Hamburg
Take exit 23 Shartlesville
At stop sign turn right North on Mountain Road follow .3ths mile, then .4th
mile left on Forge Dam Rd.
Entrance is on the right.

Rick are you planning on doing any type of series or year-end points type of thing? From the people we talked to that shot at them last year and your course description sounds like a great time and shoot. We are hoping to make several of them this year.

Hi guys,
Not too much news yet. We've been working on the matches and I'm excited about the possibilities of some cool terrain stages. We are not going to do a series or points match this year, just some fun, engaging monthly shoots. To keep things consistent, we've decided to adopt the modified FNH rules that are used by the guys at York. It's going to be a great year!

What type of paper targets do u guys use (USPSA, 3 gun, etc)?

We try to shoot a lot of steel (KD/reactive/static), but our paper targets are the USPSA/IPSC style - especially for up-close rifle.
