    Slip joint plyers are your friend. Just wrap one jaw in electrical tape (protects the finish on your rifle) and you can just squeeze the pins in.


    Nice Smith also, I'd like to get a short barreled .44 myself one day. I'm more partial to rugers though, so probably a redhawk for me.

    lead is a balancing act...too lite a load can lead just as badly as too hot a load....as you have seen.

    Yeah. I was always afraid to go lazy and send a jacketed round through to push the lead out. Always afraid of buggering up the bore. Unless the cost is prohibitive, I would probably like to stick with JSPs or similar to bypass the issue completely.
