Coyote rig

After years of talking, finally made it out for a coyote hunt this morning.
Specs:
Savage Axis XP in .223 with Leupold VX 2 3-9x40 and Boyd's Featherweight thumbhole.
We set up on SGL 127 after walking around last evening and finding lots of tracks, both yote and rabbit. Set up in 2 locations with my buddy, called for a while in both spots with no luck. Was still a great morning to be out in the woods.

Coyote hunting is a difficult business. They are wily.

It's a lot different than all the deer hunting I've done, but still nice enough getting out in the woods. Especially this morning. Was chilly, but no wind, a few inches of snow and absolutely beautiful.
