Barrel Length?
I reckon this has been addressed in the past but have no desire to spend hours searching...
Is there a minimum barrel length when hunting with a revolver?
Thanks!~ Luke... Come to the dark side... We have cookies! ~

Re: Barrel Length?
Where are getting that from?
Here is a copy from the Hunting Digest from the PGC
Lawful Arms & Ammunition:
Deer and Bear: Regular Seasons - 1) Manually operated centerfire
rifles, handguns and shotguns with all lead bullet or ball, or bullet
designed to expand on impact; 2) muzzleloading long guns of any
type, 44 caliber or larger, or a muzzleloading handgun 50 caliber or
larger; and 3) long, recurve, compound bows or crossbows with
broadheads of cutting edge design. The use of buckshot is not
legal, except in the Southeast Special Regulations Area. The Lord Bless You

Re: Barrel Length?
Nowhere in the Annual Digest does it specify a minimum barrel length for a hunting handgun.

Re: Barrel Length?
Are you talking about from a legal standpoint, or accuracy. I believe there's restrictions on the caliber, but not the barrel length. However, you wouldn't want to hunt with a .357 mag snubby unless you know some deer polite enough to stand and pose while you stand ten paces away and fire.
You are a straight white man. You don't get to be the victim, sweetie.

Re: Barrel Length?
I don't think so...
but I'm not sure
So I sent an email to the PGC. I'll have an official answer in the next few days most likelyThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.
