    Default Keystone munitions?

Anyone here use their ammunition ?

    http://keystonemunitions.com/ammunition/competition

    Looks like its all reman.

I came across some today at a shop, and while it's inexpensive, I was hesitant since I've not heard of them before, and in general am leary of remanufactured ammunition other than my own reloads.

I've heard of them also, have not come across any to see what the prices are like tho. I shoot Freedom Munitions reman ammo all the time (roughly 10k-15K a year) and have not had any problems at all. So if Keystones prices are comparable I would give it a try.

Why not try it. If its in an LGS then most likely they are a legit class 6 FFL holder with tax papers and insurance. I supply a few local to me remanufactures with projectiles for their ammo.

Since Sandy Hook there has been a great increase in local manufactures. Its the ammo version of the craft beer explosion.

I've never seen how reman ammo from Freedom Munitions is any cheaper than the factory new ammo I can get locally where I won't be dealing with flipped primers and shipping.

What kind of price was this Keysone stuff?
9mm Perfecta at Wally World is .20 a round.
    .29 a round for .223

Is this Keystone stuff that much cheaper?

What makes reman cheaper for 9mm is a brass credit if available. I can reman 9mm for .20 each but if you got brass that i can reload i can save ya $35 on 1k.

The real savings is on 380, 40, 45 and 357.

357 brass is almost $100 per k for once fired. That can add up to a substainial savings on a purchase.

actually i just did the math....excluding shipping from SG ammo, it is not that much cheaper...as a matter of fact, it's roughly the same exact price. 250 rounds of 115 grain FMJ is 22 cents a round for the reman stuff, and 21.9 cents a round for 115 grain Speer Lawman FMJ from SG ammo...

Shipping is about 12 bucks which brings the speer stuff to 26.75 cents a round.

Right now Sportsman's Guide is doing their free shipping.
Geco 115gr 9mm in the 500rnd option comes out to .21 a round.

I had my fill of Freedom Munitions a couple years back when my order of 9mm contained flipped primers and a 38 super.
I don't know anything about this Keystone, so I have no comment on them except that unless the pricing is half of factory new I'm not willing to chance it to save a penny a round.

Sorry to bring up an old post, but I've shot thousands of rounds of Keystone Munitions 9mm and 223 in the last year and it's been 100% reliable. Price is super reasonable, and you're supporting a Pennsylvania-based family-owned small business. Buy (and shoot) with confidence!

Geco is the best value in ammo out there.

    I wish they'd import more rifle calibers like 8mm & .303.
