That is a very hopeful message.

Hopefully the new generation of Republican party members can move past some of the dogmatic party platform to truly represent its constituents needs. The Democrats have proven that they are unwilling to change, unwilling to bend on the basic party platform of unrelenting hostility towards gun ownership and second amendment rights.

Both parties have a problem with an inflexible old guard and too much influence by monied special interest groups. It will be interesting to see if the groundswell that put Trump into the White House will actually lead to a break from this situation. I fear the movement will devolve into battles of distraction over what comes out of Trump's big fat mouth just about each week over the next four years.
