Default Anywhere In South Hills to shoot Semi Auto (rapidly if I want)?

I live in Castle Shannon/Bethal Area. I currently have belonged to Clairton Sportsman for the past 8 or so years. However, I am absolutely fed up with it. They charge $5 per guest and I have to pay a dollar myself each time at the range, even though I already pay a membership ship fee. They never complete projects to expand. There is VERY limited space for Pistol, only about 4 people can shoot comfortably at the 5yrd and 10yrd boards. Plus the boards are never kept up. SO, sick of it.

Plus, I love my AR's. You cant take them to the 100yrd range because people will yell at you if you put more than 1 round in a mag at a time (stupid). Then you take it to the semi range up top, and you cant really shoot semi. ONE SHOT PER 3 Seconds. Stupid.... If I want to rapid fire my pistols or my AR's, its against the rules! Yet shotguns can do so on their range, as well as the upper tactical course for LEO's gets to rapid shoot. I get questioned by these people to show them my member card and then questions me about what THEY think is within the rules. Get a grip.

So, anyone know of a south hills range that lets you shoot how ever you want? Also, I'm not going to a range where you have to buy their ammo and cant use yours (AKA Anthony Arms). Does Library Gun Club? Let me know thanks!

Library has silly restrictions on their pistol range, you can assume they have equally silly rules on their rifle range.

PMSC is way to far. I just dont understand these gun clubs. AR's and other tactical firearms are very popular, yet no gun club lets you use them to their potential. I have to go out to my buddies cabin 2 hours away to rapid shoot. It just stinks...

PMSC is not more than two hours from you. I drive there from near the airport. It's worth it.

Google maps says 17 miles from you.

My drive to PMSC is over 25 miles, and I never thought it was all that super far... It's not a "roll out of your bed and into the range" kind of distance, but I have no issues going there once a week, if not more...

Oh by no means is it far. Its about a 40 min drive. Just stinks one has to go so far away, with some many gun clubs closer, but they are all stuck in the stone ages. Anyone know if you need a sponsor to join and how much the annual fee is? thanks!

I know that feeling. I used to live so close to Colier that I could look down into the range from my back stoop. But they were a fudd club with silly one round in a mag type rules.

Remember, they're not gun clubs, they're sportsman's clubs and most are run by fudds that would probably be ok with your AR going away.

I don't remember what the initiation fee is but dues are 100 a year. You have to go to two meetings, at the first you can pick up a sponsor if you don't know one.

I honestly don't know why they do that sponsor shit if you don't actually have to know them. What's the point? But that's neither here nor there. It's worth it because all you want to do you can do there. You can even roll around in the dirt while operating operationally.
