Open Carry FOR RIFLES
Alright so, after much research ( and being relatively new to firearm ownership) I have a hard time coming to conclusion on HOW open carry with a rifle works within PA. I currently live in Philadelphia. I am planning on visiting Centralia, PA and as I am not old enough to carry a handgun ( or exempted to according to the law) I would plan on open carrying my rifle. My main question is, would it be legal to carry this unloaded rifle FROM Philadelphia to Centralia in order to open carry it or would I need to have a valid reason to have the firearm? ( Such as going to the range, gun shop etc). The law seems to be silent on what can be done with rifles. Once again, a LTCF is out of the question for now.
Thanks all ! (newbie to posting so move if need be)

Re: Open Carry FOR RIFLES
Rifles are not considered firearms in PA. I'll let smarter people post.

Re: Open Carry FOR RIFLES
How would you carry the rifle to Centralia?
Hike on foot?
Motorcycle?
Horseback?
4-wheeler?
18 wheeler?
....and, when you get to Centralia, do you have a firesuit?
May I suggest a soft case in which to place the rifle, with carry handles and/or shoulder strap?
