    A friend I'm hunting with just bagged a 7 point. Not a wide rack but meat in the freezer.

    Things have changed in this area since I was a teen. Doesn't seem like anyone hunts anymore. No one is in the woods pushing deer around. Only heard a handful of distant shots.

    That's the current Pa rifle season. One primary reason why I place my effort during the early seasons. Rifle is fun, but a complete crap shoot.

    My stand is in good spot for archery. My life got pretty crazy and I was working 7 days a week during archery so I didn't get out. This is my first firearms season in many years and I can tell the game has changed. Still plenty of deer there just isn't a lot of people to push them around.

    Heh, I was pumped up, but didn't see one buck. Well, I did see one for a brief second but was a no go. I even studied like 50 blogs and how to's for tips, here's an example of one. It helped, but obviously not enough:
