Default Lexington Riffle.......just a hillbilly rifle maker............

Dunlops woods maple blank, Rice B weight 44" 50cal, chambers lock, assorted other parts, some modified, some made.....3 sets of tangs...4 sets of doors on the hidden hinge PB, LOTS of elbow grease, and patience...new things learned, old ways used, all in all....she's a sort-of copy of a Lexington KY makers rifle. Thank you to Shelby G., for inspiring me to do it....and all the masters that do these rifle MUCH better than me......I might even shoot this one someday....fo now, wall hanger........

Wow! You are a true artisan sir. That is beautiful. But, you know, that really is a Pennsylvania rifle, right?

Yep, just a hillbilly rifle... Beautiful build! I love seeing pictures of anything being built, but a rifle like that is so enjoyable to study the pictures. Thanks for posting them. I wouldn't be able to not shoot it though. Cool cat.
