For what it's worth, I try to do my eating and drinking in American Legions and Veterans of Foreign Wars lounges. That way I know I am not going to get any grief or be in violation of statutes for concealed carry in any state where my permits are valid and state law doesn't prevent it. Plus I know that the proceeds will help our veterans. I hope any members of the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, VFW and/or VFW Auxiliary will keep that in mind. And if you are eligible to join any of these organizations that help our veterans, why aren't you a member?

Among other reasons, because I don't drink alcohol or smoke or like to hang out with people engaged in either of those activities, nor do I view my military service as part of my self-identity or defining me as part of a group that I would not otherwise associate with.
