Default Bead blast in Pgh area.

I've got a S&W Mod 64 that has some scars on the top strap. I plan on smoothing them out but I need to get it bead blasted afterwards to kill the shine. I figure its probably an area 3/4"X7" counting the barrel rib. Anyone know who will do such a small job around Pgh. South? I've thought about doing it myself with a small spot blaster but I'm afraid I'll mess it up.

Try local auto body shop. I salvaged a Remington model 6 single shot 22 that spent 25 years in the corner of a hog pen. They did the barrel and receiver parts for about $20 bucks.

Go to a small shop and offer cash/no receipt. They may do it while you wait. I once got a radiator soldered for $5 like that. Good luck.

I bought a harbor freight cabinet for that exact same reason. Then you have a bead blaster. Win win situation. Police trade? One piece barrel of two?
