I'd be interested in an upper/parts buy. I have a Glock magazine lower already and waiting.

    2. Price range.

A $200 deposit is fairly steep. I am going out on a limb here and betting the total price for a pistol or SBR would be well north of $550.

Price for a completed unit(pistol) will be around $700.00....but we are not sure that is the direction we are going in.

The deposit will be adjusted accordingly....On any firearm GB I require a deposit....its your skin in the game. Otherwise, I get a lot of commitments with several drop outs at the end.
Since you're already in discussion with a PA based company can't you tell us who? The make, model, and reputation of the source mean far more to me than how much the deposit is.

Nothing to share yet....still trying to make this happen. Looks like a parts buy/upper GB is going to be the ticket....

I will disclose the company when the time is right. Just gauging interest at this point. Might not happen at all.

It doesn't look like there is much interest in doing a buy....so, with that being the case. Time to move on.

Thanks to those of you who posted....

As someone who would like to build a 9mm AR sometime in the near future, I was very interested when I read the thread title, and completely turned off by your lack of answers.

If you want to arrange a group buy, you need to come up with a definitive product and price list before asking for interest.
If they want to offer complete builds, cool! List the specs and pricing tiers, then gauge interest. Same goes for complete uppers.
If they just want to sell parts, list the components available, along with price tiers.

Also, its going to take more than 2 days to get responses.

I think my idea of gauging interest is different from yours. Generally speaking, I like to get an idea if the demand for a group buy is there. Once I determine the demand, I work on the specifics of the buy. After the specifics have been nailed down, I present the group buy to the members on the forum.

In the past, I have done as you suggested, only to have the buy move in a totally different direction.

Yes, two days is not a lot of time, but its enough for me to determine whether or not I will get the appropriate response here.
