Supreme Court Justice Ted Cruz?

Just heard a rumor on the news that President-elect Donald Trump may consider Ted Cruz for his first SC nomination.

DJT may not be a politician , but he's learning quick. Cruz as a SCJ would A. be a very good pick, B. make the GOP happy, C. the Latino community.

Cruz would make a great SC Justice.

A conservative female would also be a great choice, because the optics of 'democratic opposition to a female' is something the dems would want to avoid.

I advocated for Cruz as SCOTUS long before the primaries kick off. If the dude's not a total idiot he'd accept if offered.

And I agree with your suggestion for a second pick as well.

He's got to play the Latino female card, or make a package deal, Cruz with a moderate, like Condoleezza Rice, or even a lefty, for the second vacancy.

I too think Cruz would be a very hard sell. Trump's original list is still his best source. Yes, it trades off political 'prominence' and name recognition in favor of established jurists with a constitutionalist track record, but someone who has not been overtly "political" may be his best bet.
