    Default CMP 1911A1

Now that Trump will be President, I wonder if the 1911A1 pistols will be released for sale? There is no reason this had not been done before.

Supposedly the importation and release of historical firearms will be on his pro gun agenda.

I'll pass on the beat up 1911's.

I'd consider a poorly stored Garand though...

Ok, that's a quite confusing post.

If the cmp gets the 1911's they can not do anything with them. They can not ship them across state lines to your FFL because they do not possess a FFL.

The CMP is exempt from the ATF licensing requirements.
The CMP ships direct, not to FFLs.

I believe one of the concessions they had to make for selling pistols is that they had to go through an FFL. The CMP can legally ship the 1911's to an FFL but you had to have it transferred to receive it. Rifles still get shipped directly to your door.
