Default Anyone know the current value of a Colt Magnum Carry!

A coworker buddy of mine has one that he might be putting up for sale and he asked me if I had an idea of a good asking price for it.I figured I'd post and ask here in order to help him out.

Check completed sales. A lot of times people see that pony on the side and think every model is worth the same as a python or cobra.

Yes.My post was mostly an observation of and reaction to some of the ridiculous prices that I have seen on there.

$1500 to $2500 because that's what they literally sell for on Gunbroker. Things are worth what people are willing to pay for them.

completed auctions (sold) items on gunbroker are ranging anywhere from $550 to $2500 so condition etc and model and box/papers probably mean a lot with that little sucker.

I know it’s an old thread but I’m a newbie to this site. Hopefully u did not take the advice from another poster of $500+ or - on the magnum carry value. I am fortunate to have a “first edition” magnum carry (1of 300) so I watch the values all the time. A non 1st edition goes for $1800 to $2200 based on condition and matching box in today’s market. Keystone arms recently had a 1st edition on GB for $4500. It didn’t sell at that number but I’ve seen a 1st edition SELL for $3700 on GB with the box. If your friend wants to sell I would buy all I could for those crazy “blue book” under values.
    Thanks
