If you don't already know about Obama's profound Liberalism or about the Democratic party's Liberal platform and you need to listen to his speech in order to be dazzled by his BS, perhaps you should sit out this year's election.

Why?

I was bored, it was close and I got a ticket for the premium seats in front. He had a slim chance of getting my vote but it's important to hear what they have to say. In addition, out of all the places in America he could have gone... he came here so it was a peek into the circus tent if nothing else. I give him props for that. Unfortunately, he also got many votes in this area for that very reason.

My point is that the characterization of the situation in the OP of this thread (thanks to an incorrect leap made by some posters on OCDO) and the news article are completely incorrect, and do not accurately convey what occurred. Before such false accounts spread and begin to dull interest in supporting Jack, the record needs to be set straight.

Any decision to support or not support should be made on the facts, not assumptions - and certainly not media reports.

Greg, if you have facts or information on this that haven't been posted, please share (unless it is something confidential). The whole point of the is thread is to find out what happened. Do you have something to back up your claim that the news article are incorrect? I'd love to hear it. I'm not trying to call you out, 'cause I frankly have a great deal of respect for you, but we can only react based on the information we have.

I understand this is still a developing situation, and the initial reports concerning what happened may prove to be in error, and I'll continue to update the original post as new facts develop.
