Default Any CC issues at Phila National Museum of American Jewish History

    Greetings,

My brother and I (both PALTCF holders) are planing a trip to The National Museum of American Jewish History in Phila. Does anyone know of potential problems with CC there? Policy. metal detectors, wands, etc.?

BTW if anyone is interested, till January there is a special exhibit on Mr Bill Graham, the famous concert promoter who did much to advance large scale rock music concerts on both coasts.

    FYI: http://www.nmajh.org/SpecialExhibitions/

    Thanks for any heads up!

    Regards, Jim

    Greetings,

Well, answering my own question here; perhaps it can help someone else in the future. Here is the official policy from their web page:

    SECURITY AND RESTRICTIONS

For your safety, the Museum has various security measures in place that may lengthen the time it takes you to enter the building.

All individuals must pass through metal detectors; we suggest leaving unnecessary metal items at home.

All bags (including cameras and laptops) undergo X-ray inspection; bags bigger than 16” x 24” CANNOT be accommodated, and will be subject to manual search.

Tripods/monopods and all blades (including pocket-knives), firearms, and other weapons are prohibited. We have the right to confiscate any inappropriate items, and to turn away anyone not conforming to these rules.

    Regards, Jim

PS..........guess I'm not going unless they have a locker system available.
