    Default Trick or Treating

Kids going around begging for candy (not being subjective, just calling it what it is) is held, in my town, on the Sunday preceding October 31st (or on October 31st if it happens to fall on a Sunday) between the hours of two o'clock and four o'clock in the afternoon. It's safer for all concerned that way, especially where some houses don't have sidewalks, and both the police and fire company slowly cruise the street to keep the traffic down to a crawl.

My job is to sit on the front steps of my porch and hand out the candy (really, it's fun).

Anyway, had one father come by with a kid or two leading him by the hand and he had the littlest one on his shoulders. And he was open carrying. I gave him a thumbs-up and told him to continue to protect his kids.

Were you in costume, or just dressed up in your everyday old man outfit?

Well done on the positive interaction with your neighbor.

    Started eating the candy already.

Just means we can turn out the lights sooner when we run out of candy "unexpectedly".

(our trick or treat is tomorrow evening)

Halloween vandalism is usually negatively accepted by the neighborhoods affected by it. However I have nothing but positive things to say about the Halloween vandalism Huma and Weiner caused to Hillary's campaign.

It's on different days where I live. It's a very strange concept to me because it was always on the 31st where I grew up.
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.
