Gallup poll shows support for 'assault weapon' ban at all time low.
Down to 36 percent from high of 59% in 2000:
"In an era of ongoing terrorist attacks and mass shootings in the U.S., Americans are now more likely to oppose an assault weapons ban than they have been in two decades. One reason may be the large increase in opposition to such a ban among Republicans. Whereas 20 years ago half of Republicans were open to such legislation, now only one in four are. But politics alone do not explain the declining support, since it has dropped among independents and Democrats as well, although on a smaller scale.
It is possible this represents a backlash against calls by some in the national media and the federal government to ban certain weapons after mass shootings occur. This backlash may reflect growing apprehension that the government may infringe upon particular civil and personal liberties. Gallup finds even lower levels of support for other potential bans, such as those on handguns and cigarettes.
It is striking -- and unusual -- that fewer Democrats than ever support an assault weapons ban, since the Democratic Party has been instrumental in pushing for stricter gun laws."

the evidence has nor supported the claims of the antis.
the police are outmanned, outgunned, and out of reach.
the scourge of crime and violence is far too pervasive for people to blindly stumble through life.
the American citizenry does not trust the asshats in Washington, and fully expect assault weapons bans.
that's part of why. There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery the time when we were happy - Dante.

Because people are sick and tired of the same BS. Staged shootings just aren't cutting it
like they planned. I wonder what else they can come up with to tug on our heart strings

Yes, and let us not forget that the AR platform is the number 1 selling rifle and among the top selling firearms. I would venture to say that the popularity of the AR is the reason why rifles outsold handguns in 2014, I believe the latest year of ATF sales records. They are commonplace and therefore not the bogey man of firearms like in the past. Slick Willy was able to get his AWB through in 1994 due to the much lower sales of such firearms in that time era, and even with that, the final legislation had a 10 year sunset.
Drunk with power crooked Hillary will have her grubby hands full trying to get her war on firearm owners through congress. She has been a failure at everything she has ever started except avoiding prosecution, in usual Hillary style, she will also fail in her anti gun pursuit. Sadly, many gun owners will vote for this skank just because she is a democrat. If I am wrong regarding her success, this disgusting disgrace will go on and do the same thing to the democratic party that bush did to the republicans.

If elected, just watch. I expect things to unfold along the following lines.
She will have her all-to-full-of-themselves media corporations demonizing the NRA and the "bitter clingers" on a 24/7 basis. The DNC/Clinton Hollywood minions are now in the process of filming a propaganda hit piece on the NRA. We will all be branded domestic terrorists. Gun shops will, like Republican campaign offices, be firebombed and vandalized. Soros/DNC bought and paid criminals will show up at gun stores to harass and beat people just as they did at Trump rallies. The media will resume their campaign of outing firearms owners and publishing their residence addresses. No one will be prosecuted for these crimes because the DOJ, the FBI and the BATFE are now partisan Democrat military police. Just as no one will be prosecuted for violence against Republicans. Social media will ban firearms related information from being transmitted. University SJW loafers and lowlifes will protest gun shows because their professors will reward them for doing so. It is going to be relentless and well-organized. If people thought this Presidential campaign was ugly, the coming Anti-Constitution assault is going to be far worse. She is going to need to make domestic enemies and attack them. That is the Clinton MO. While consuming everyone in the Anti-Constitution crusade, she and her husband and their cronies will continue to enrich themselves through their global criminal enterprises.

Gun control is dead in the eyes of the majority of the American public. Bloomturd's money and a few holy then thou, white bread suburban mothers with nothing better to do are the only thing propping it up.
Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.

However, the MEDIA loves more gun control, as does our Progressive Education system, and our GOVERNMENT. They don't need the general public to support it, or will convince them through lies it is necessary. Hillary + Mass shooting with AR-15 + Media + Court = AWB, and other bans/restrictions. Watch.

Keep taking people to the range and then continue to explain why firearms are in the Bill of Rights....know your facts, show them safety, show them gun owners are not crazy nut cakes, etc. I've never brought anyone to the range that didn't like it! If we each take one new person a year to the range we can double gun ownership in one year!

Public support is not necessary with President Clinton.
