Default HB 2429 Delf EXCLUSION from Firearms Purchas

Sounds stupid right? I suppose this is to protect those who're firearms "addicts".

    Regular Session 2015-2016
    House Bill 2429
Short Title: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, further providing for definitions, for sale or transfer of firearms and for Pennsylvania State Police and providing for self-exclusion from purchasing a firearm.

    Prime Sponsor: Representative DONATUCCI

Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, Oct. 25, 2016 [House]

Memo: Voluntary No Firearm Purchase List

I can't think of a reason why a law like this is needed. If a person wishes to surrender their firearms or legally dispose of them otherwise, they're free to do so. If one no longer wants to acquire firearms, they're free to do so. Why would state legal intervention be needed or desired?

    .

that's for self-loathing liberals who react on emotion after some hyped up by media shooting that makes them feel guilty for their white privilege and goes and turns in grandpa's shotgun and signs the waiver

years later his / her neighborhood turns into a crime infested shithole because of their welcoming mantra of "diversity" and they decide some personal protection
would be a good thing only to forget when they were brain dead they signed that paper and upon trying to make a firearm purchase rudely get arrested and charged with a felony for attempted purchase by a prohibited persons

Is this like the program for gambling addicts? They can self report and sign paperwork agreeing to prosecution if they are caught in a casino.

No need to amend the Constitution or Bill of Rights if they can get people to freely sign away their rights.

I suppose it might allow for a plea deal where someone agrees to sign away their firearm rights in exchange for dropping criminal charges, and it would then allow PICS to enforce it.

    Just a guess.

State Rep. Donatucci is a democrat representing parts of Delaware and Philadelphia Counties. By introducing useless bills like this she's simply padding her resume so in the next election she can claim she sponsored "Common sense gun laws" that got shot down (no pun intended) by those nasty republicans. She needs to come up with something because taking a quick glance at her work in Harrisburg so far, all she does is sponsor resolutions to designate Pick-a-cause day/week/month in PA.

    eg.

Resolution - Designating November 17, 2016 as “World Prematurity Day” in Pennsylvania.
Resolution Designating October 17 through 21, 2016 as “National Medical Assistants Recognition Week” in Pennsylvania
Resolution Recognizing the “Bob Pantano Saturday Night Dance Party” Radio Program

The list of causes, people and groups she sponsored resolutions to recognize goes on and on ...

She's just another long term government employed, Democrat political hack. From her home page:

She graduated from the Philadelphia High School for Girls. She earned credits at various institutions of higher learning, including the Philadelphia College of Art, Philadelphia Community College, Pierce Junior College and Temple University.

Maria married then state Representative Robert Donatucci in 1984 and together they raised two children, Thomas and Dierdre. During their nearly 27 years together, Maria strongly supported and assisted her husband in his community service work, serving as a pro-bono community liaison, representing Bob at many community meetings and events when legislative work kept her husband in Harrisburg, and helping in the community with various initiatives.
Sadly in November of 2010, Robert passed away shortly after a successful reelection win to his 16th legislative term in office.

Maria succeeded her late husband by securing the legislative seat for the 185th Legislative District with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a special election held on February 1, 2011, and was reelected to office for her second term in November of 2012. She will continue his legacy in serving the citizens of the 185th Legislative District.

Maria is a 13-year employee of Philadelphia’s Bureau of Administrative Adjudication, and has also served as a community volunteer, a loving wife and caring mother of two.

Maria has strong experience within government, having worked for various departments of the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as an adjudicator and supervisor with the Bureau of Administrative Adjudication.

Graduated high school in '72. Earned credits from various colleges then married a politician in '84. Looks like she spent about as much time in community college as she did in k-12, but all she got out of it was a MRS degree. Then she basically inherited her position as a state rep. when her hubby died.

I was racking my brain trying to figure out what "delf" means. Then I realized that the "D" and "S" keys are adjacent.
