HiPoint wever rail
I just got a hipoint carbine and it came with a BSA red dot optic. The directions says it mounts to a standard wever rail. It has 2 channel pieces (for the lack of a better term) where the bolts pass through them gripping the rail to the optic. Now the problem, they have 3/8s inch on 1 side of the channel flange, & 5/8s inch on the other flange. Does the 5/8s inch go under the wever rail and 3/8s inch to the optic, or vice versa ?
P.S. reading reviews, I saw complaints about lack of directions. I said to myself ''how hard can that be'' now I know.....

Re: HiPoint wever rail
I don't know the answer but which is wider? The rail or the optic mount? If this came as a set I would think 3/8th vs 5/8th would be visibly different. If not, put a tape measure to it.
Of course there is option 2... toss the BSA in the trash.
