    Default Lexington Riffle build..........

Morning~ I have been build on a Lexington flintlock for a while, just found your site, thought some folks might be interested...The rifle is a sort-of copy of Lexington KY rifles of the 1800 era. 50cal, 44" bbl, swamped, chamber filntlock, tiger maple blank from dunlops woods...been taking wood off for about a year, more needs to be done...but it's a hobby......!! I been tinkering again....hidden hinge PB was a real challenge for my level of building...the estation things were/are a real pain...but, heh, it's a hobby right? The heads of the brads will be filled flush....
tomtom got himself a new hat...wanted me to post it.......

Great pictures! Love seeing these builds. The level of enjoyment from building that plus shooting it when finished will be so great. I'm looking forward to the finished rifle!

Very nice. I have a cousin that builds custom flintlocks for himself and others. Always neat to see the final results. My dad has a Hawkins rifle he did and another on the way for Christmas. I'll have to see if I can dig up some pics to share also.
