Our usual PSA Shootout crew will be there Sunday PM. I'll be shooting stock revolver. Should be a good time!

Very cool You absolutely smoked everything!

It was my 1st time shooting any competition since moving to PA over 3 years ago and my 1st steel challenge match. I did well on stage number 5 which was our 1st because we had a very large squad and also on stage 2 with scores in the low 80's, I know that sucks but I did them with 50 rounds or less. The stages with the Texas stars and the other swingers beat the crap out of me with too many added penalties. The best shooter in out squad was 18 or 19 years old the kid was slinging lead clearing his states in record time with a G19 his dad bought 2 days prior. I think his best time was 32 or 33 seconds on our last stage.

I think they did a really good job being this was their 1st time hosting the steel challenge match only wish is that this was a bi-annual match instead of a annual. Hope to be able to find some more in the surrounding area in the new year.

Just FYI this was not a "Steel Challenge" match. Steel Challenge is something different, each stage being 5 non falling plates that you get five runs on. http://steelchallenge.com/

Just thought I'd mention it in the event you go looking for Steel Challenge matches and arrive at one and are confused at what you are seeing. The only other match in the area I know of that was similar to this match is the PSA Shootout. Check out youtube for PSA Shootout and Steel Challenge matches and you'll see the difference and see what I mean.

This club also holds USPSA and IDPA matches every month. Their USPSA match is probably the best monthly match on the entire east coast. Here is an example of their USPSA match http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP5eOL0kBeI

Thanks for all the information. I take it you have to be a member of the club to participate in the USPSA matches?

I could have taken every round i own, and spent a weekend, and not knocked down that many plates. Nice shooting.

I brought 500 rounds with me and shot just north of 350 and that included 2 practice runs that one of the steel vendors was running.

No sir. It helps to be a USPSA member because they charge you extra if you're a non member but they are open to the public.

Sure you can. All it takes is a half a dozen years or so of practice and a few thousand bucks worth ammo, ha.
