    Default So Many Schools In My Area

    There are so many schools in my area. It is extremely hard to get from point a to point b withought one popping up and driving by it. My question is however, if a school is back off a main road a substantial amount am I safe to drive by. Or is driving on a road with a school, and going through a school zone illegal, although this school is beyond 1000ft from road.

    Do you have a PA LTCF? If so, there isn't any worries.

    The federal GFSZA exempts those who are licensed by the state in which the school is located.

    PA law only regulates possession on the grounds of a school.

    ^^^^This. I can't carry to my sons soccer games because the field is school property. The nearest school is 4 blocks away.
    Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

    So by driving past it on the road, even though I am going 15mph because it is a school zone I am fine?

    If you have your LTCF you are not breaking the law. If you don't have your LTCF you are breaking the law. IANAL.
