    Also don't forget to notify them not to carry off duty through a school zone unless they have an LTCF, since it would be against Federal law.

    Yes, my officers know the difference between federal and state/local law. My point in discussing the GFSZA was to point out the differences between the federal law and PA's law about weapons on school property.

    I also pointed out, that unless they are on "official duty" they are in violation of the GFSZA and could be arrested and charged by the feds. So, the GFSZA does exist and they are aware of it.

    Not that federal gun laws have to make any sense.......But the part about you having a license and it must be from the SAME state part is BS. Just shows the foolishness of a committee approved feel good law.

    Do I have this right? I have a LTCF from PA and I am driving in another state that recognizes my LTCF........I drive by a school. I just committed a federal felony?

    What am I missing?
