On Saturday October 8 (next Saturday) the FIRE Institute is going to host an “alumni shoot” on the training range at Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsman’s Club. (This will not interfere with the One Day Hand Gun course being run that same day.)

There are no requirements or prerequisites for this. If you are not a member at PMSC, we will collect $10 from you to pay the Club's non-member range fee.

We will do hand guns in the morning (9 to 12) and rifles\carbines in the afternoon (1 to 4). We will have steel and paper, and run some short, friendly 2-person competitions.

If you have completed one of our courses in the past (including the law courses put on by PFDC) you are welcome to bring a friend; maybe a spouse or friend who is interested in what training is all about. Bring food, stuff to drink … we plan a relaxed day of shooting among friends.

Without restricting the foregoing, I know a couple of folks are going to bring single-action revolvers of 1800’s design (but modern manufacture). If you have one of those, and haven’t shot it in a while, here’s an opportunity.

Hope to see you there.

WEATHER: IF THE FORECAST IS TERRIBLE THE DAY BEFORE, LOOK HERE FOR A CANCELLATION NOTICE ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7. No notice means we are going to proceed.
