Political Terrorism - Harrisburg Edition - 242 Amendments to Pro-Gun Bill
Friends,
I try not to burden you with a lot of e-mails but this one is significant. As you may know we have been working to advance pro-gun legislation in Harrisburg and are on the cusp of two of our issues being addressed, finally!
These bills involve preemption (HB 2258 & SB 1330) and semi-auto firearms for hunting (SB 737) and are all keyed up and ready to go EXCEPT we are being held hostage by anti-gunners and money and ‘apathy’ among our ranks!
We are being blocked by a concerted effort from anti-gun groups through their minions of evil (anti-gun legislators) in a historic show of abuse of the political process. HB 2258 has had 242 amendments filed AGAINST it and this is a record!. SB 737 has had 19 amendments filed against it. The end goal is to force leadership to pull the bills from consideration.
We are being terrorized by a small group of misfits in and outside of the legislature who are abusing the process to stymie legislation that has overwhelming support.
Republican Leadership AND Democrat Leadership need to be united in opposition to these tactics! Contact information, including phone ‘and’ e-mail address, for Republican and Democrat leadership is available at the links below:

I’m laying this in your laps because gun owners are faced with an ugly reality! IF we do not get more of our friends and family involved and calling their legislators and leadership of BOTH parties then I fear our ability to get ANYTHING passed will be impossible. What is even more critical is that the NEXT step for them is to force anti-gun legislation to be passed or these political whores will shut down work on other bills.
I’m sorry but I have done everything I can think of and have been warning you of this coming evolution of the political process for a while. Well it is HERE now. Either get involved now or plan on PA becoming New Jersey in the not too distant future and prepare to surrender your firearms because what is going on now is ONLY going to get worse!
Sorry for the bad news but I’m NOT going to sugar coat the dire situation we are in!
Thanks for reading this far!
Thank you for considering this important message!

Update
Guys,
I just found out that SB 1330 (Preemption) has 9 amendments filed against it right now from anti-gunners like Farnese.
We need to call all the Senators we can to get them to deal with these amendments by either ruling them as not germane ‘or’ voting on them and then move the bill.
I’m going back to the phones now.

Can we not do the same thing to everything they try to do? All it takes is the balls to do it.

Also can we be sure to vote out the scumbags doing this?

Re: Political Terrorism - Harrisburg Edition - 242 Amendments to Pro-Gun Bill
Greetings,
First, thanks to Kim for the heads up and Josh for the info below.
Geez!!!! 421 pages of the most anti-firearm amendments I've ever seen in one place! Before I try to read the entire thing, does anyone have a list of those legislators that submitted all of this crap?
We need to go on full attack, with a HEAVY load out. This is NUTS! I'll be on the phone tomorrow to all of our allies in State gov and will report back anything I learn..... BUT, we've got to find a way to put and end to this OR play the same game and shut the entire damn STATE down.
Regards, Jim

Re: Political Terrorism - Harrisburg Edition - 242 Amendments to Pro-Gun Bill
Greetings,
OK, I'm only up to page 87 out of 421. The antis have thrown the kitchen sink of wish lists at the House version of the pre-preemption bill. Here are some very short descriptions and the list of the names of the sponsors. It runs from page 1 to page 87 (I'm getting to tired and pissed off to continue on tonight):
The Wish List:
License to purchase a firearm, Additional Mental Health restrictions, Mandatory Registration of all firearms in City of 1st class, Sale and Transfer Restrictions, Penalties for Carry w/ BAC .08%, Firearm Restraining Order (by anyone who wants to), ? gun shows, further school property restrictions, Sever penalties for criminal use of a stolen gun to the victim of the theft, etc, etc, etc..
The enemies:
Kinsey
Acosta
Boyle
Thomas
O'Brian
Dean
Santora *, I think this must be Steve Santaserio; the amendment sounds like his anti gun show/long and shot gun require a 4473 bill.
Kirkland
If anyone else wants to pick up there, I'll log back on tomorrow and keep working through the amendment list. Pretty sure there will be a lot more good stuff to follow. I guess in short is they absolutely do NOT want either preemption bill or semi auto hunting (or any other pro firearm/hunting bill) passed this session and intend to amend them to the point where we give up and drop any bills favorable to our side. Or accept some amendments (NO WAY!) to pass them?
It would seem this is a deceleration of war and they have thrown down the gauntlet. What's now been proven (not that there was much doubt) are who the true enemies of freedom are in PA and how seriously they intend to stake their position.
As I noted in my previous post, I'll see what info I can get tomorrow from our allies in the House and Senate.
What's our best move at this point?
Regards, Jim

I hit 'em all. Thanks for posting.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will...
