    Default Monroe county LTCF

What's the latest on the suit to force monroe county to honor PA law with regard to issuing concealed carry licenses? I bought a house up there, and when my current montco LTCF expires i'll have to apply in Monroe. I know they're being sued, but i have been unable to find any updates online.

    Thanks in advance.

The Monroe County LTCF requirements have been updated and the unlawful requirements of providing tax returns, medical records, DD-214...etc have been removed, as reflected on its website - http://www.monroecountypa.gov/Dept/S...ponsForms.aspx

The Monroe county page still shows they require 2 references. Is that legal?

    Thanks for any help.

Yes, it's on the state form.

On the upside, the references can be from any state. Not just monroe county like before. Both of my wife's references were from nj and she was approved with no issue

This is all good news to hear, I have to renew this September so it should be much easier.

I renewed yesterday and it took 15 minutes. Security no longer requires that you leave your phone checked in at the front entrance like before. They do have a bit of a TSA attitude at the metal detector but that is separate from the Sherriff's office

Hmmm...Bucks hasn't thought of that one. Yet.
