I would buy one in 9mm (same as the 92FS), but even Beretta had trouble with the .40 in their 96. As I recall they had some self destruction issues. I think I would avoid that one!

You can't get much in the new department for $313 these days. This is one I'd say is a good deal. Taurus has been making the PT series for over 30 years.

I honestly like the placement of the safety better than on the Berettas anyways. Ergonomically I would say it's superior for that reason.

PTRon 14 was assigned to Panama Sea Frontier. It had no action with the enemy
Transferred 17 September 1944 to Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron FOUR (PTRon 4) under the command of Comdr. James B. Denny, USN
PTRon 4 was the training squadron, based at the MTB Squadrons Training Center, Melville, R.I. It was the largest squadron, having a peak of 28 boats in service at one time
The "Sea Cat", ex-"Sea Wolf" was placed out of service 7 January 1946
Struck from the Naval Register 21 January 1946
Transferred to the War Shipping Administration 14 October 1946 and sold
Fate unknown.
