I second this... especially in a very urban area

Honestly me living in a apartment building... if I was to have a shootout with would be robbers with FMJ's... I would kill all my neighbors and be in jail before dawn

You can carry whatever you want, but you are responsible for every projectile until it stops moving. Know your gun, your ammo, your target and what is behind your target. I suggest critical defense from hornady to limit over penitration but still be effective. Other ammo out there can be just as good, make up your own mind after trying some.

Reality of anti-gun courts:

You carried the deadly and overly penetrating FMJ. Same stuff the military uses to kill. That shows intent to kill or maim with disregard to target or what's nearby. Guilty and max sentence for you.

OR

You carried hollow points. They are so deadly and terrible, the military can't use them for being 'inhumane' for increased wound severity. You meant to kill by using more effective means to increase lethality / effectiveness. Guilty and we will throw the book at you.

Civilly or criminally legislating from the bench must be stopped. Maybe when disparities like these appear (see also cases on what arms are considered for civilian 2A use or not) we should have a process to remove the rulings and enforce clarity from the legislature immediately.
