.223/5.56 Price Check
I want to order a couple thousand rounds to replace ammo I'm shooting this weekend, but was looking for the best prices.
What is walmart currently at for their remington and wwb .223?
I checked aimsurplus and was a second before checking out before posting this, so who else?
I prefer brass with the minimal price differences, but I have shot 10's of thousands of rounds of wolf with zero problem as well so if the deal is good I'm fine picking that up.
Thanks,
Steve
(I'm not asking for anyone to do "research", but if they know of good deals, please post! also, the walmart prices would be nice before I drive out there)

Re: .223/5.56 Price Check
Wal-Mart has 55 gr. FMJ Federal Value Packs at $39.97 for 100rds. There's also 50gr. JHP Federal Value Packs at $76.97 for 200rds. I'm not sure what the Remington is going for, but I do know it's more expensive than the Federal, and I've never seen .223 WWB at the Wal-Mart where I buy ammo. Hope that helps.

I would start by checking Ammunition To Go, Ammoman, Natchez, the Armory, Outdoor Marksman...also Midway, Sportsmans' Guide, Wideners, etc etc I usually look for good deals on Wolf Black Box, UMC, Prvi Partisan or Federal XM193.

Re: .223/5.56 Price Check
This is the best I could find so far...
http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/U...55grn_FMJ.html
$340 for 1000 rounds of "contractor grade" 55 grain.
Walmart quoted me as follows...
rem .223 55g MC-$9.47 per 20
win .223-$26.96 per 20
rem pst .223-$17.83 per 20

Here's where I look for current prices. It's maintained and updated just about daily from a member of www.ar15.com
