GetGo® Gas Station, Indiana, Pa.
Quick background here - the GetGo® gas stations are owned and operated by Giant Eagle®. For every $50 you spend on groceries (or whatever, as long as it's creditable on your Giant Eagle Advantage Card®) you get a 10¢ per gallon discount on your gasoline, up to a 30-gallon limit. Discounts accrued are good for two months, and if you buy enough groceries you can end up getting up to 30 gallons of gas for free (which is why a lot of people have extra 5-gallon gas containers for when they cash in their fuelperks!). Plus, military veterans get free coffee.
So, I'm OCing as usual. Had to get some blood drawn at the nearby VA Clinic (the gun stayed locked in the car, in a gun safe), and since I was in the area I swung by Wal-Mart to get some stuff. As usual, nobody there said nuttin' about the holstered sidearm. Then it was off to the nearby GetGo® gas station for some gas for the car and some coffee for me (no drink or food after midnight for a blood draw is a royal pain in the ass). The clerk saw my Vietnam Vet had and waved off the coffee purchase, but as I paid for the gas she told me she had a Springfield XD-S and some other handgun, and asked what I was carrying (gee, someone actually noticed). So, I told her what I was carrying and then asked if she had her license yet. "Nope, not yet 21," or words to that effect (which made me assume she was a college student at nearby IUP).
We did some brief babble about travel, me spending over 20 years in the Army seeing assorted parts of the world and our country, too, and she mentioned she had visited India. I congratulated her for traveling, and urged more - it broadens one's horizons and stuff like that. Then another customer came in and broke up the conversation. I quickly popped out to the car, grabbed two Open Carry flyers, brought them back in and handed them to her. She was thrilled.
In short, a good experience for all concerned, no police called, no puddles on the floor, no dogs shot.Last edited by Statkowski; September 17th, 2016 at 01:48 PM.

I can currently get $2.20 per gallon off the regular price.
Waiting for the tank to get closer to empty before filling up. That's a bitch to do when your gauge isn't working.
Oh, and yay for girls with guns.

Good exchange. I guess there is hope for some young people. Best I ever did was .07 a gallon when gas was $2.77

I'm so surprised I haven't seen you around town. We're in Indiana all the time and I've seen 5 OCers in the last 2-3 years.
Last night I OC'd at the Cookport Fair. Can't honestly say that anyone even noticed. But as you said, no police called, nobody hurt.Ragged Hole Manufacturer

Man, we are getting ripped off here. I think Giant gives us 10 cents off for every $100 spent.

Different companies, different marketing strategies.
Giant Foods:
10¢ per every $100 spent
Accrued discount valid for 30 days
$1.50 maximum discount
Giant Eagle:
10¢ per every $50 spent
Accrued discount valid for at least 60 days (e.g., discounts accumulated during April will expire at the end of June)
No maximum discount (i.e., accrued discounts exceeding the price of gas are carried over)
30-gallon limit (even if you car's gas tank only has an 11-gallon capacity - a lot of people use 5-gallon gas containers to get up to the 30-gallon at the discounted price)

Had to put a few bucks in here and there in between, but finally got it filled up last night before I lost any of my perks. (end of month)
Must have been running on fumes because I put 26.02 gallons in the tank before it clicked off and the truck has a 26 gallon tank. WHEW!
I put the remaining 4 gallons in the can I brought along to get my full 30 gallon limit.
.07 cents per gallon for regular unleaded! (full price $2.37 reg)
My total for 30 gallons was $2.30 with a savings of $69.00.
