    Default Home Design

Told the Mrs. we need to start thinking soon about our retirement years. Gave her my home design plans - she hasn't signed off

Looks like a single bed in YOUR home. Did she come up with plans for HER home yet?

You really should have put at least a double bed in the bed room. Other wise where would you sleep.
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

As long as you are tweaking the plans, I see the only exterior door opens directly into the gun room. That makes it too easy for your stuff to get stolen when you are sleeping alone in your little bunk.

Also, you need a moat and drawbridge.

The plumbing for the kitchen and bathroom should share the same wall. Also, if you put your bathtub in the kitchen and your toilet in the bathtub you wouldn't need a bathroom to free up some space.
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

You just need a window in the wall between the kitchen and bedroom so she can pass you morning bacon on a tray, right into bed.
