West German 228 Nickel??
I just picked up a West German Sig P228. It is date coded "KB" which would make it a 1991 build. My question is whether or not Sig made a nickel factory slide finish.
It came with a gray Sigarms box, which I assume is original (but does not state nickel or anything else on the box). I will post photos when I have the chance. Does anyone know the current value of this if it is indeed nickel?

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

There were all nickel and 2-tone P228s. Don't know if either command a premium over nitride.

Re: West German 228 Nickel??
Sig made 228's in both nickle slides and full nickle finish (frame, slide, controls) back in the day.

Out of curiosity, how much did it run you?
I've been looking at P228s lately, but the prices seem to be all over the place.

Re: West German 228 Nickel??
The West German P228's with the three serial numbers get a premium. I had one but sold it in favor of my CZ PCR which I found to be a much better shooter, and easier to carry. The P228/P229 are good guns though, their ergonomics and control positions don't work for me but YMMV.

This is my second 228. This particular one cost me $449.
