I think you need the shoulder thing that goes up for spray fire. Either that or a pistol grip, I forget.

Neither. Bayonet lug is for spray fire.

Once you have shot suppressed it's hard to go back to unsuppressed. They should pass this legislation, not only for hearing protection but it would help Gun Clubs with noise complaints etc.. No reason other than money for these to be NFA items. Government will never give up the $200 from the Stamp.

The money is irrelevant. The governments real interest lies with the information and the power derived from it. Photos, Fingerprints, Serials, and Addresses on every NFA owner.

They could get the information from requiring forms and an instacheck system....It's the Government and they'll never give up free money..... how much did they make since the ATF announced changes? The article below is people trying to beat the deadline on the new regulations.

Which is incredibly short-sighted (but not a surprise) on their part. Ditch the $200 Stamp and the delays and BS currently associated with it. Put a 10% tax on the sales price. Almost instantly make more in total revenue due to the huge increase in sales.

But, that assumes it's about money. I think it's more about control.

For anyone wondering, silencers are not subject to the 11% (10% handguns) Firearms and Ammunition Excise Tax.

Yeah they are loosing way more in revenue by not taking them off the NFA then by keeping them on but you know it's all about the kids and shit.
