Re: STOLEN GUN!!!
That's bullshit. The gun being stolen out of your car has nothing to do with your permit.

Re: STOLEN GUN!!!
Ok I get that Philly PD will revoke her LTCF... They have pulled this bullshit for years. It's one of the reasons that so many residents had an out of state permit until they killed that off.... My question is, what happens to the Montgomery County resident or Berks County resident that has his firearm stolen while visiting Philadelphia. Philly PD controls the process for Philadelphia County... Do they send a request to the other counties requesting revocation ? Does it ever happen ? If it doesn't happen to a non resident, can the lawsuit claim that they are treating similarly situated people differently or even intentionally by punishing their residents ?
Sounds like a question for Gun Lawyer... I know....

Re: STOLEN GUN!!!
You are absolutely right, there is no lawful duty. But there is common sense. If you leave something of value in your car and are relying on others not to break into your car, you are putting your trust in the wrong place.
It is the thiefs fault, but that is a small consolation when you get your stuff stolen. I don't see many people leaving their bikes unlocked out on the sidewalk or purses laying on the front seat of parked cars. Why is that ?

Nothing that is secure can be broken into.

Re: STOLEN GUN!!!
First of all, I don't agree that people should get their permits revoked for getting their firearm stolen, unless there are other extenuating issues.
I have heard of incidents where detectives did send requests to have the LTCFs confiscated from people outside of Philadelphia County. I don't know what the response to those requests where.
