I don't know how or why they find it necessary to persecute the person that had noting to do with the crime. A criminal broke into your car (which to me, is the same as breaking into your house) and steals your gun, and you're the one to blame. Only in Philadelphia! They need to be sued over this unjust law. As has already been stated, Philly only listens when it costs them money.
I wish you a good outcome on this bad situation.
Thank you! I wish all the best for me as well... now just have to find a good lawyer to help me.

    Let's be realistic here.
    Yes, lets.

Firearm was in a locked compartment. Compartment was in a vehicle not owned by the thief. There is no other lawful duty.

First and foremost, people have a duty to not steal other peoples' stuff. The rest really is of no consequence. Fault is always on the thief, if you defer blame on any level it is no different that what anti-gun folks do.

Welcome to Philly where you're first victimized by the criminals, then by the PPD.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

The detective is flat out wrong. If you have a LTCF you can store your firearm anywhere that isn't illegal by law. ....legally you can duct tape it to your windshield, to the steering wheel, or even to your forehead. Nowhere in PA's statutes does it prohibit storage within ones glovebox.

If the gun is ever recovered that lawyer might be needed again in order to have it released to the owner after it has been used for evidence purposes.

No as of right now the license is still in my possession! She stated that I would get a letter stating it will be revoked and I should hear from them
