.250 grip safety on .220 frame
I'm building my first 1911 and it seems I made my first mistake.
I bought a Para frame and an Ed Brown grip safety. Today I learned that the frame has a .220" radius and the grip safety has a .250" radius.
So the question - can I make it work and blend it or should I buy another grip safety?
Thanks.

I think there is a 1911 owners forum. You might find or start a discussion there.

You can make it work. Get an Ed Brown Grip Safety Jig from Brownells (might also find it at MidwayUSA or even Amazon). This will help immensely to shape the frame correctly to have the frame and EB safety look ok.

Cheaper just to buy a new grip safety. Return the other and get a proper one.
It'll function, but it'll look ugly without extensive blending.
Ask me how I knowI'm only here for the wood c-rings.

Update:
I found out that my initial information and Para frames having .220" radius was wrong. They have a .250" radius.
