Re: encounter with someone who 'knows' more than an OCer
Happened to me once. A guy called to me from a parked car. He was just trying to help out a bro, not be an A-hole. I talked to him about 30-60 seconds and he seemed to realize I knew what I was talking about and then he thanked me. There was never any conflict in either direction and he was surprised to learn what I told him.

Re: encounter with someone who 'knows' more than an OCer
Two possible answers:
1)
Man: Why is your gun out like that.
Me: Do you carry
Man: No.
Me: Then don't speak to me about what you don't know!
2)
Man: Why is your gun out like that.
Me: Do you carry?
Man: Yes.
Me: Then shame on you for not knowing the law!

It's surprising how effective a rebuttal in this area can be, when you begin with "I'm a licensed attorney who practices extensively in this area, and..."
Doesn't stop everyone, though. I have to wonder if the same folks would debate minimum wire gauge for a hot tub with a Master Electrician.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

This is referred to as the Dunning-Kruger effect - when a person of low ability or lacking in experience suffers from illusory superiority.
In other words, sometimes ignorant people don't realize they're ignorant. Imagine that!Junior
