pulling shots left?
So, i went to the range today for the first time in about a year and noticed i was pulling everything left. I was shooting a pt140 G2, glock 30 and taraus 85. I was shooting at a target that was a human outline i had to shoot at the right shoulder to hit center mass. without actually watching me shoot i know its hard but i figure i would ask the crowd.

Re: pulling shots left?
Depends if you're right-handed or a lefty. This target is for right-handed shooters:

But it also depends on your distance too: if you were shooting pistol at that target 100 yds away, a right-to-left wind of 3-5 mph would affect the flight-path of your bullet...- bamboomaster

Re: pulling shots left?
how accurate is this chart? i always thought i shot low left because my wrist is messed up. i literally shoot "tightening fingers"

Re: pulling shots left?
The target just offers some suggestions of other possible things to consider when your sight alignment is PERFECT. If your front sight isn't centered on the rear sight that's going to affect the point of impact.
One possible thing to consider is taking your time and shooting from a bench with a rest just to see how well you can shoot with PERFECT sight alignment. Wherever the bullet hits will provide you with additional information.
Don't know if you wear glasses, but I came back from an optical appointment today because I felt my 3 year old prescription was messing up sight alignment matters (rear sight in complete focus and front sight in complete focus - the first step in bullseye accuracy). I'll let you know how it works out after the new glasses arrive.- bamboomaster

Re: pulling shots left?
Focus on trigger control. Nice slow pull until you get it down. Once I got my trigger control down I stopped pulling shots left.

Re: pulling shots left?
Balance a quarter on your barrel and pull the trigger. If the quarter falls off, work on that trigger pull

Re: pulling shots left?
One chart is not going to solve everyone problems. But when I was shooting left it was because of "to little trigger".
Tip: If you go to the range with another buy some snap caps and have them load your mags. Then there will be a random failure. That can help troubleshoot things especially flinching or anticipating recoil."No, it's just a machine. I'm the weapon." - Jack Harper in Oblivion
