Ahhh, there's nothing like the feeling of completing a lower build - especially for an amateur like me There's just something about putting all the parts together, then stepping back knowing you took a stripped lower and turned it into 1/2 a rifle ready to snap on the upper. Maybe someday I'll get brave and put together the upper too vs a ready to go one #labordaybuild

    Nice.
I'm still building up the confidence to do that...and the funds.
But I think a pistol build might be in my near future.

Maaaannn... I was afraid to do it for years. All those little parts? Ugh!
It's actually not as hard as you think and aside from the tool to mount the barrel, you can do the rest with common hand tools.
I don't own a single firearm punch - I use tiny screwdrivers, or nails, or whatever.
There's actually a pretty good video on YouTube that shows some tricks for getting along without special tools.

If I can do it anyone can.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I've got the tools to do uppers, including a magpul mounting block for uppers and lowers. If you want some help on your first one drop me a PM, I'm only 30 minutes down the road.

not hard.. and a upper is not that hard either... you need an upper vise block to do the barrel ...
    go for it

I've built two lowers and they show my marks of amateurishness but that gives them character.
