    Insanity.

"Illegal use of gun" - sounds like a football penalty.

The whole thing is so freaking absurd.
As it stands now, shooting a rifle one handed without shouldering it should mean that you have redesigned it as a pistol and now if you sell it, it must be transferred as a handgun.
    Dumb.

No matter. Shoots just fine placing it against the cheek.

I met up with Pennlineman today at the club today.

I figured that since there was someone with me I'd ask him to watch for any sign of muzzle flash in case I was just not seeing it from the "driver's seat".
I hadn't noted any flash during the first few mags so I asked him to watch while I shot about 25 rds.

There was one small flash near the end as I fired the last 4 or 5 rounds semi-fast, but that was it.

Still happy with the decision to get the PWS CQB comp for that 7.5 inch barrel.

Damn, that's a nice roscoe you built there, EM! I just ordered a 7" barreled upper yesterday and now I am on here looking for ideas and I see this! I didn't know you were into AR pistols also!

    Haha. Thanks!

I didn't know I was into them either. LOL
I used to think AR15 pistols were "dumb".

It will be a while since I have other "wants" that are next in line, but I want to build a 9mm pistol too.

I wasn't a big fan until I saw the 7" upper! I was hooked at first sight, LOL!

Looks good, EM! How do you like the enhanced mag release button?

I love it. For the first time in my life I can reach the mag release without essentially taking my hand off the grip to do it.

I put the Gen 2 EMR (both are Odin Works) on my 9mm AR15 first.
I liked the appearance better, so I tried it - in red...

9mm build pic thread w/full parts list

I was forced to use the Gen 1 EMR on this pistol due to the clearance issues with the KNS Anti-Walk pins. (Odin Works points this out on their website)
The Gen 2 EMR CAN be filed down to work, but I wasn't interested in dicking around with it.

You can clearly see the way this Gen 1 release (below) is shaped in a way that will not come in contact with the pins.

Ultimately, I think I prefer the feel/operation of the Gen 1 EMR - it's more tactile and moves more "solidly" when pressed as opposed to the Gen 2 EMR which has a bit of wiggle to it. (nothing that affects function, but it is a commonly noted "complaint")

Shot about 5 mags through it yesterday.

Saw a lot more muzzle flash this time. I couldn't tell how MUCH from behind the trigger, but I could tell there was some flash with a lot of the shots.

I was shooting that cheap ($6.44 @ Walmart) American Eagle .223 (the newer stuff in the green box)
I believe I was shooting perfecta before when I wasn't seeing any flash.

Sucks since I can't find Perfecta any more. Going to have to try some other brands to see if the various powders are a factor.
