Geiselle rail question

I just got an FN 14.7 barrel from PSA with the Geiselle rail installed.
The Geiselle rail looks a little more rotated to the right where the upper meets the rail.
I havent shot it yet but it seems sturdy and doesnt rotate.
This is my first Geiselle rail set up. I'm afraid if the front BUIS wont line up with the rear BUIS.
Is this normal?

What rail series? There are different types of lockups for Geissele rails.

Needs pictures. Sounds like the PSA employee didn't follow Geissele protocol.

Probably something easily correctable. If you end up taking the rail off just follow the Geissele instructions to reinstall and that should fix it. You'll preferably need a torque driver. Very easy though.

MK14, it comes with the PSA FN 14.7 barrel. One of their premium offerings.

Should be a simple fix. Loosen the set screws towards the bottom of the receiver at the barrel nut. Then loosen the two main cross bolts. At this point, you should be able to rotate the rail. I believe Geissele suggests using a single piece scope mount to clamp the rail inline with the receiver. Then just torque the cross bolts back to spec, and snug the little set screws back up.

Do you know what size Allen keys are needed? Also I dont have a torque wrench.

So I loosened the 4 screws but still couldn't rotate the rail.

You have to back out the set screws common to the receiver enough to allow the rotation, not just loosen them. The cross screws common to the barrel nut need to be pretty loose as well. The fit between the nut and rail is tight. It doesn*t take much tension on them to lock it tight.

I took care of it with a plastic hammer, once the screws are loose.

Glad it*s handled. They are nicely machined. They ship with the nut in the rail. Getting it out can be a chore.
