    Default Just stopping by

Gotta stop just popping into my lgs. Debating the carbon fiber 40 - I know some like some hate - but $319 with all the goodies ! The Pap pretty good too, pistol with brace with goodies with ammo added for $499. Decisions, decisions.

Carbon fiber might be okay if you coordinate it with your outfit.

How many guns do you have anyway? You can round off to the nearest hundred.

I think he really took off about three or so years ago when I mentioned in an answer to one of his threads, that a C&R FFL03 would help. Since then I suspect that ATF has him on their watch list as a serial gun buyer!! Dave_n

A small kitchen table dealer was audited by the atf recently.
He was disposing of a large estate.
The agent commented on my name being enter so many times, some up to ten per day.
He told him I buy in bulk because he gives a discount for multiple gun purchases.

The dealer told me the story the next day.

Three days later I get a voicemail on my cell asking to return a call to the agent.
He asked if I was indeed buying so many guns.
Sure I said, the prices are too good to pass up.
He asked if I was caught up on my book and if I was audited would everything be up to par.
Sure I told him, I enter purchases in my book the same day I buy them and they are all stored on the premises and available for inspection if need be.

Nope he said, just checking to make sure I was indeed buying that many to be sure the dealer wasn't doing anything off the books with creative record keeping.

So, even though C&R purchases have no paper trail except for other FFLs books, the atf can notice if many purchases are made from one source.
